1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Vault Media Inc. (“Vault Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), PO Box 3031, Fredericton, New Brunswick E3A 5G8, Canada, collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit teethresearch.com and any of its pages (the “Site”). Vault Media is the controller (or, under Canadian law, the organization accountable) for personal information collected through the Site.

The Site is an advertisement operated by an independent affiliate marketer. This Policy does not apply to any third-party website, including the merchant website you are taken to when you click a purchase link, or to any advertising platform (such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Google) from which you arrived. Those parties have their own privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide to us

The Site does not contain account registration, order forms, or payment fields. The only information you may provide directly to us is what you choose to include when you contact us by email, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers and advertising partners may automatically collect:

  • Device and browser information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, language settings, and approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address.
  • Usage information: the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, how long you stay, how far you scroll, which links or buttons you click (including the “Check Availability” buttons), and the website or advertisement that referred you to the Site.
  • Campaign and click identifiers: parameters that may be included in the URL when you arrive from an advertisement, such as Meta’s fbclid, Google’s gclid, TikTok’s ttclid, UTM campaign tags, and affiliate sub-IDs. If you click a purchase link, we may forward these identifiers to the merchant or affiliate network so that the sale can be attributed to our advertising.
  • Cookie and pixel data: as described in Section 3.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government-ID information) through the Site. Please do not include such information in any email you send us.

3. Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. Pixels (also called web beacons or tags) are small pieces of code that let a party know when you have visited a page or taken an action. We and our partners may use the following categories of technologies on the Site:

CategoryPurposeExamples
Strictly necessaryDeliver the Site securely and reliably; protect against bots and abuse.Cloudflare security and load-balancing cookies (e.g., __cf_bm, cf_clearance).
Analytics and performanceUnderstand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, or similar tools.
Advertising and measurementMeasure whether our ads led to a visit or purchase, build audiences of people who visited the Site, and show relevant ads on other websites and apps.Meta Pixel and Conversions API (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tag, TikTok Pixel, Microsoft Advertising UET, and affiliate-network tracking.

At the time this Policy was last updated the Site had no advertising or analytics tags installed. We may add the tags listed above at any time without further notice; when we do, this Policy already describes them and your opt-out options in Section 7 apply.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Site may not work as intended.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site;
  • measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and attribute sales to the correct campaign, ad, and affiliate link;
  • create audiences for advertising (for example, to show a follow-up ad to people who visited the Site but did not click through, or to exclude people who already purchased);
  • understand which content and layouts visitors respond to;
  • respond to your inquiries and privacy requests;
  • detect and prevent fraud, invalid clicks, and abuse;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: your consent (for advertising and analytics cookies, where required); our legitimate interests in operating and promoting the Site and measuring our advertising (balanced against your rights); and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Advertising and Analytics Partners

We advertise the Site on platforms operated by third parties. Those platforms may collect information about you both on their own services and, through the technologies described in Section 3, on the Site. Each partner acts under its own privacy policy:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network). Meta’s Privacy Policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy. Learn how Meta uses data from sites like ours: facebook.com/about/privacy/update. Where we use Meta’s Custom Audiences or Conversions API, we may send Meta hashed identifiers or event data so Meta can match visitors to Meta accounts for measurement and ad delivery. Meta and Vault Media may be joint controllers of certain event data under EU law; Meta’s terms for that arrangement are at facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum.
  • Google LLC (Google Ads, Google Analytics, YouTube). Google’s Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • TikTok Inc. Privacy Policy: tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Affiliate networks and the merchant. When you click a purchase link, the affiliate network and merchant receive your click, the identifiers described in Section 2.2, and information about any resulting purchase, so that the sale can be credited to us. The merchant’s and network’s privacy policies govern that data.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and protects the Site and processes visitor IP addresses and request logs on our behalf. Privacy Policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may disclose information:

  • to advertising and analytics partners listed in Section 5, through the cookies and pixels described in Section 3. Under some U.S. state laws this type of disclosure for cross-context behavioral (“targeted”) advertising is treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out as described in Sections 7 and 8;
  • to the merchant and affiliate network when you click a purchase link, as described above;
  • to service providers that host the Site, provide security, send email, or help us analyze data, under contracts that restrict their use of the information;
  • for legal reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vault Media, our visitors, or others, or to detect and prevent fraud;
  • in a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case the recipient will be bound by this Policy;
  • with your consent or at your direction.

7. Your Choices and Opt-Outs

7.1 Advertising platform controls

  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): manage how ads are shown to you at facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings and control “Your activity off Meta technologies” at facebook.com/off_facebook_activity.
  • Google: manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • TikTok: adjust ad settings within the TikTok app under Settings → Privacy → Ads.

7.2 Industry opt-out tools

  • Digital Advertising Alliance (U.S.): optout.aboutads.info
  • Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada: youradchoices.ca
  • Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
  • European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: youronlinechoices.eu

7.3 Browser controls and Global Privacy Control

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use browser features or extensions that block third-party trackers. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by applicable law: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and targeted advertising for that browser. We do not otherwise respond to “Do Not Track” signals, for which no industry standard exists.

7.4 Email us

You may also opt out of targeted advertising, or make any other privacy request, by emailing support@teethresearch.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.”

8. Your Privacy Rights

8.1 Canada (PIPEDA and provincial laws)

Vault Media is a Canadian company. Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to challenge its accuracy and completeness, to withdraw consent (subject to legal or contractual restrictions), and to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or your provincial commissioner. Our Privacy Officer can be reached at support@teethresearch.com.

8.2 United States (California and other states)

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right, subject to certain exceptions, to:

  • Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, of targeted advertising, and of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. The categories of personal information we may “sell” or “share” for advertising purposes are identifiers (such as cookie IDs, IP address, and click IDs) and internet or network activity information. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age;
  • Data portability: receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
  • Non-discrimination: not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To exercise these rights, email support@teethresearch.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or write to the address in Section 15. To opt out of sale/sharing you may also use the Global Privacy Control signal described in Section 7.3. Because we do not maintain accounts, we may need to ask you for information (such as the email address you contacted us from, or a cookie ID) to verify your request; we will only use that information to process the request. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization. We will respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days, extendable once). If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response with the word “Appeal.”

California “Shine the Light” notice: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.

8.3 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent for advertising cookies, we will request it before those cookies are set. To exercise your rights, contact us as described in Section 15.

9. Data Retention

We retain server logs and analytics data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, typically no longer than 26 months, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve a dispute. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. Retention by our advertising partners is governed by their own policies.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including HTTPS encryption for all Site traffic and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Transfers

Vault Media is located in Canada. The Site is served through a global content-delivery network, and our service providers and advertising partners may process information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws differ from those of your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for such transfers. By using the Site you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in these countries.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Third-Party Websites and Merchants

The Site contains links to third-party websites, most importantly the merchant’s website where the featured product is sold. When you click those links you leave the Site. Any information you provide on the merchant’s site, including your name, shipping address, and payment details, is collected by the merchant under its own privacy policy, not by us. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If the changes are material, we will provide more prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Policy.
